Sensation and appearance are different observations

During the day, you notice sensation at the vulva and any discharge that appears naturally. In the evening, you record a daily summary: what you felt, what you saw, and whether there was bleeding. You do not need to turn the experience into a generic “fertile” or “infertile” mucus category.

The entry form separates sensation from appearance, supports free-text descriptions, and adapts its fields to what was observed. Dry sensation, no visible discharge, incomplete observation, and signs obscured by blood are different situations. Your journal keeps those distinctions.

A chart of what happened, not a forecast

The sequence brings together sensation, discharge, bleeding, and the pattern reading. Open a day for details or use the table to compare entries without losing the original descriptions. Visual indicators help locate changes and gaps; they do not automatically authorize intercourse.

The app explains comparisons with a reviewed reference, highlights descriptions that need clarification, and supports retrospective review of possible Peaks. It does not calculate a future ovulation date, a calendar-based fertile window, or a pregnancy probability.

Corrections and life stages, with history intact

Correcting an observation retains earlier versions. Postpartum, breastfeeding, and weaning contexts can be recorded by date so that a reference from a different stage is not simply carried forward. Recording that menstruation has not returned does not establish infertility.

Entries are stored in your private account, encrypted on the server. JSON and CSV exports let you keep a copy; JSON includes the full revision history. Switching the interface language never translates or rewrites the words in your journal.

Charting and learning belong together

The 31 in-app readings cover foundations, recording, patterns, and life situations. Revisit a topic as questions arise in your chart and keep your learning progress. A subscription provides access to the journal and its tools in all three languages.

Individual instruction remains important when using the Billings Ovulation Method to achieve or space a pregnancy. FertilityOps organizes observations and offers explanations; it does not certify your Basic Infertile Pattern, replace a qualified teacher, or function as a validated contraceptive.

Common questions

Can I keep a journal with irregular cycles?

You can record consecutive days even when menstruation is unpredictable. Pattern readings depend on observations and reviewed references rather than average cycle length. This does not mean the app can resolve the interpretation of irregular cycles on its own.

Do I need to enter basal body temperature?

No. The current journal focuses on sensation, discharge, bleeding, and context. It does not implement a symptothermal method or combine rules from different methods.
